Known as Maenam Chao Phraya in Thai, The Chao Phraya River is arguable Thailand’s most significant waterway in Thailand, starting in Nakhon Sawan from four smaller rivers: Ping, Wang Yom and Nan, and running downstream to the Gulf of Thailand in Samut Prakarn. A cruise along the Chao Phraya River gives you another perspective on Bangkok as you pass by the awe-inspiring cultural landmarks such as Wat Arun (The Temple of Dawn), The Grand Palace and the Temple of The Emerald Buddha as well as lifestyle of lives along the river.

There are several options to take a river journey: from a luxury vessel converted from old rice barge, a entertaining dinner cruise to taking express, hiring a long-tail boat to explore small canals and ferry boats to experience the river as the locals do (start from Central Pier next to BTS Saphan Taksin).
